The idea for the G8 iGaming Summit came about about after a discussion between its three creators about anime and videogame conventions, which are regularly organized by fans for fans all around the globe. Meanwhile, iGaming conventions were very few and far in-between, with most (if not all) of them being organized by major companies with the express purposes of them being business endeavours. Many conventions, such as Excellence in iGaming which takes place every year in Germany, are primarily focused on the business side, with conferences on the ins and outs of running a successful online casino or betting site. As such, Tom, Jen and Mark (the organizers) decided to try something different – to create a convention that is aimed towards the players rather than the business owners.
While guests are still being confirmed and press conferences are being finalized, the main focus will most definitely be to create an experience that would appeal to the players, with booths and conferences/talks aimed towards them, first and foremost. The goal is to make a more fun experience for everyone involved where the players can learn more practical advice, discover new casinos or games providers they may not have heard of and overall have a good time. You can expect talks from industry experts about things such as online casino strategies, picking the best online casino for you and many, many more. While there will definitely be a few business-oriented conferences, our main goal is to make something that ordinary players could get the most out of.
